Assaf Salim - Entrepreneur with Four Decades of Experience

An entrepreneur with four decades of experience, Assaf Salim launched his first business, Regalitos, in 1985. As founder and CEO of this company, Assaf Salim oversees a retailer of appliances and miscellaneous merchandise.

Throughout his career, Mr. Salim has overseen this business and added other ventures to his portfolio. In 1999, he founded Automarcas De Occidente, an auto retailer that sells BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Ford vehicles.

In 2015, Mr. Salim launched ND Import & Export Corp, LLC, a company that exports and imports home appliances, industrial equipment, and general spare parts. Three years later, he founded Air Alas De America, a private aviation company that provides air travel in the Caribbean and Central America, with plans to expand into Europe. In 2020, Mr. Salim founded the Salim Group Investment, a business group specializing in construction projects, housing development, and family-oriented community initiatives.

In addition to his 35 years of experience in business, his training includes a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in international finance, both from Rafael Urdaneta University. He also has specialized training in aviation and business management.

Mr. Salim’s community involvement includes membership in the Rotary and Rotaract groups. His personal interests and hobbies include music, golf, skiing, tennis, and mountain biking.
